Job Summary:

Acts as a consultant to Human Resource Business Partners and line management for assigned client group on various compensation strategies. Researches and identifies practical and equitable solutions specific to the business needs, while maintaining adherence to corporate policies and processes, as well as legal compliance. Researches, analyzes and recommends modifications to compensation programs to meet identified organization objectives and needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides direction to Human Resource Business Partners and line management for assigned client group on various compensation issues. Researches, recommends and approves practical and equitable solutions specific to the business needs, while maintaining adherence to corporate policies and processes, as well as legal compliance. Consults with HR Business Partners for organization changes and revision of job descriptions. Conducts job evaluations for new and/or revised positions, including reviewing and understanding position responsibilities, using market-pricing techniques analysis to assign Pay Band and market range. Conducts exemption tests to determine FLSA status. Conducts equity analysis for individual employees and develops and proposes recommendations for pay adjustments, promotional or developmental increases, and hiring ranges. Develops new hire offers. Establishes annual salary range for assigned functional groups.
  • Manages the testing and administration of SAP ECM and any other applications for ongoing compensation administration and the annual compensation review process. Leads the development of test scripts, unit testing and User Acceptance Testing on system patches and enhancements to SAP ECM. Administers SAP ECM processes for the annual compensation review process. Tracks administration of compensation actions, bonus payments, and long-term incentives.
  • Knows the future plans of the organization and creates well thought-out steps to link the compensation process to business productivity. Studies the internal and external environment, stays abreast of trends and emerging practices to ensure competitive practices and makes the necessary changes/modifications to ensure compensation stays relevant and continues to meet the business objectives.
  • Performs special projects as assigned, may include ad-hoc research, analysis and conducting surveys in order to provide guidance on current Compensation and Benefits programs. Provides guidance and training to Sr. Compensation Analyst.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in HR, Business Administration, Economics or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in compensation analysis, including comprehensive knowledge of job evaluation techniques, including market-pricing methodology.
