Job Summary:

This role is part of the IT Operations team and will provide technical acumen in a variety of areas including but not limited to: client computing, printing, telephony, enterprise monitoring, second-level support escalations, backup and restoration operations, e-mail administration, virtual machine administration, Active Directory administration, capacity management, and patch management.


Responsible for the efficient operations of Daiichi Sankyo’s highly available services for all internal and hosted information systems, databases, data centers, and corresponding applications necessary to support business critical functions.

Performs monitoring, troubleshooting, and patching for all current hardware and operating systems. Using enterprise network management tools, engineers must respond and repair any system failures on a 24/7 basis.

Ensures the integrity and security of information systems by change management process, vulnerability management, timely incident response and security alert management

Effectively handle onboard and offboarding of employees through complete lifecycle of account management

Accountable for execution of all backup and recovery systems. Manages the backup and restoration of files, operating systems, applications, virtual machines and databases.

Responsible for following applicable IT general controls required in order for DSI to remain in compliance with various regulatory mandates, including but not limited to JSOX, Title 21 CFR Part 11, and general GxP practices.

Qualifications: Successful candidates will be able to meet the qualifications below with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years in IT support or related experience required.
  • Current Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Administrator (MCSA), or IT Professional (MCITP) strongly preferred.
  • Hands on systems experience supporting hardware/software in a Microsoft environment: 3 to 5 years preferred
  • Enterprise Backup/Restore Operations: 3 to 5 years (Symantec Netbackup Experience Preferred)
  • Working knowledge of Private/Public/Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure: 1 to 2 years preferred
