Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to provide finance and business support to the organization for Phase II & Phase III clinical trials.

Responsibilities:

Develops Clinical Trial project budgets for small- and large-scale Phase II & III outsourced and external partnered programs. Leads the annual and quarterly financial forecasting process for clinical trial spending.

Provides business partner support and guidance to functional project team members as it relates to actual versus forecasted spending and contract reconciliations.

Forges relationship with CRO partners to assist in accurate project forecasting.

Partners with regional finance and project managers to develop and maintain spending controls for global clinical trial budgets.

Provides ad hoc financial support on special projects related to financial system changes, financial reporting changes and economic valuations.

Supervises monthly closing activities to ensure accruals are properly reported and that expenses are properly recorded.

Qualifications:

Travel required for accounting conferences/trainings, Global Finance meetings and Project team support.

Education/Experience:

Bachelors in Accounting or Finance

Minimum of 8 years’ experience in accounting/finance role, preferably in health sciences industry
  • R&D finance preferred
  • Line management experience preferred
