Job Summary:

This position will lead a small team of model-based drug development/Clinical Pharmacology scientists in support of a portfolio for drug development and commercialization activities. This position will be accountable for the model-based drug development (MBDD) plans and deliverables across the portfolio. The individual may also act as an individual contributor on advanced programs.

  • Strategic leadership and functional management of MBDD drug development scientists supporting portfolio objectives
  • Responsible for quality of MBDD plans and for quality and timeliness of team deliverables
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining internal and external networks to support MBDD Objectives
  • May act as an individual contributor on programs within the portfolio.
  • Coach, develop and manage team of scientific professionals
Successful candidates will be able to meet the qualifications below with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree, PhD or PharmD
  • 10+ years industry experience
  • Proficiency in quantitative analyses (including population PK, PK/PD, exposure-response, and drug-disease modeling) and clinical trial simulations
  • Prior experience in applying model-based drug development principles to clinical development programs in multiple therapeutic areas
  • In depth knowledge of pharmacometrics tools and techniques
  • In depth knowledge of clinical pharmacology
  • Experience in Oncology/Specialty Medicine desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and planning skills, and proven collaboration skills and leadership ability.
Ability to travel up to 20%.
