Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the contracting process including creation, review as well as: (A) overseeing the day-to-day execution of the contract management procedure for the Company (including, the R&D division, the U.S. Business Division, and the U.S. Corporate Division (including global groups)); (B) providing employee training on the contract management policy and procedures (C) working directly with attorneys, business owners and vendors on negotiation of contracts, (D) tracking all contract status in electronic contract lifecycle management system and creating contract reports for management.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and provide day-to-day execution of the contract management process for the business colleagues across the Company. Act as a contact person for the process, intake contract requests, prepare contracts, work directly with internal clients (varying levels) and external vendors. Work with in-house attorneys to review legal language for company agreements. As necessary, negotiate with third party with support from manager or attorneys to resolve contract language disputes.

Responsible for updating and maintaining resource guidance and other helpful documentation to assist employees with the contract management process. Review key proposals for modification, training, concerns or issues.

Provide continuous training on contract management process and technology to ensure compliance by all DSI employees, including new hires. Assist in developing and conducting of company-wide contract training and train smaller groups of employees.

Assist in the implementation of contract system(s) updates and maintenance of the electronic contract lifecycle management system.

Provides support for other projects within Legal and Corporate Affairs as requested and assigned.

Education/Experience:
  • Associates Degree required; B.A. or B.S. preferred.
  • 2-3 years relevant corporate and/or pharmaceutical contracting experience preferred.
