Job Summary:

The Associate Director, Sales Forecast Analyst-Oncology develops global (US, EU5, Japan, and other major countries when appropriate) sales forecasts for oncology pharmaceutical products in the development phase (Pre-clinical, Phase I – III) as well as marketed products for indication expansions and forecasts to support Business Development assessment. Duties include collecting and analyzing appropriate information/data, interacting with other functions including Market Research/Market Access & Pricing functions, developing the forecasting models and processes, calculating sales forecasts and Profit & Loss (P/L) statements, eNPVs, providing reports, and explaining the assumptions for optimizing the value of oncology product portfolio.


Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage a long-term sales forecasts of oncology products (pipeline as well as marketed products) in order to support decision making (including go or no-go decision at important development milestones), strategy development for oncology portfolio (including project-prioritizing exercise), as well as business development activities (including product license-in and M&A evaluation)
  • Develop and maintain forecasting models to adapt current and future treatment algorithm for individual tumor types in major regions
  • Update sales forecast of oncology pipeline products at least once a year by reflecting competitive situation, project status, and inputs from regions
  • Provide the sales forecasts and P/L analysis to Global Brand Team and Oncology Business Group members who oversee each project
  • Provide (for pipeline asset) and consolidate (for in market products) demand forecast to manufacturing
  • Collect and coordinate regional sales forecast and regional P/L analysis for the indications in phase III as well as for marketed indications
  • Ensure right data and tools are used, and continuously assess the appropriateness
  • Develop reports to compare/evaluate value of the products, and identify key risk factors and uncertainties influencing the value

Qualifications: Successful candidates will be able to meet the qualifications below with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in health sciences, business or marketing. MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years in marketing or business analysis function, including 5+ years of sales forecasting and analyzing experience in pharmaceutical industry or comparable education/work experience (Oncology experience preferred)
  • Ability to understand therapeutic trends and competitive landscape in oncology, and to evaluate the impact of those factors
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Excel & Power Point programs
  • Experience with Anaplan a plus
