Job Summary:

This position is accountable for executing peer-to-peer promotional field programming and speaker bureau contracting and management, congress activities and partnering with Public Relations on advocacy initiatives associated with the Pain Franchise. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the management of the medical education agency of record. Critical responsibilities include the selection, training, contracting, and monitoring of promotional speakers for the Pain Franchise and the evaluation of ROI/performance metrics for all promotional programming and planning thought leader engagement and educational programming at major medical congresses. This individual will also be responsible for developing relationships with HCP and patient advocacy groups. This individual will also be responsible for managing Brand Plan budgets for all owned work-streams and tactics. To accomplish these objectives, the Associate Director must have excellent project management skills as well as an ability to develop peer relationships with regional and local thought leaders. The individual must be able to work without significant direction from management, have strong interpersonal and networking/influence skills as well as a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with Alliance partners, engage the DSI field force(s), and interface with sales management.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the execution of peer-to-peer field programming for the Pain Franchise, including determination of programming mix, coordination of program content, selection, contracting and training of the speaker’s bureau and selection of appropriate metrics the programming analytics/ROI.

  • Coordinate the planning and execution of medical congress-related activities related to thought leader engagement and professional education.

  • Develop and sustain relationships with HCP and patient advocacy groups and lead key initiatives developed in partnership these groups.

  • Support management of the medical agency of record, including expense forecasting, PR/POs, and monthly financial reconciliation.



Qualifications

Education/Experience:
  • Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. MBA or Advanced degree desirable.

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive sales and/or marketing experience and leadership, a minimum of 2 years of Pharmaceutical sales and/or sales management experience preferred, 2 years of Pharmaceutical Marketing, including product launch experience preferred. Proven track record in developing strategic initiatives with cross-functional disciplines.

  • Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills, presentation skills, with an emphasis on collaborating and networking/influence skills. Demonstrated ability to contribute to operational plans. This individual should demonstrate strong judgment and business acumen, operating with a high level of integrity.
