Job Summary:
The Strategic Sourcing Associate Director (AD) will be responsible for creating and executing strategic sourcing activities (for both U.S. and Global) for given commodities/business areas and leading the overall supplier relationship management program for DSI. For given commodities / business areas, the Associate Director, Strategic Sourcing will work with key Business Partners to design optimal processes and sourcing/procurement solutions that meet the business’ needs and produce synergies for Daiichi Sankyo – while minimizing business risk.

Responsibilities:
Utilizing the 6-Step Strategic Sourcing Process, lead RFx efforts with business stakeholders for given commodity areas.

Serve as the PMO for DSI’s overall Supplier Relationship Management Program (SRM) with Tier 1 suppliers which includes robust comprehensive supplier scorecards, DSI stakeholder feedback and incorporating Supplier recommendations to enable innovation and continuous improvement. This role will also ensure the other Strategic Sourcing Managers deliver upon the SRM program goals.

Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert for Strategic Sourcing’s e-Procurement suite of tools (e.g. iSource, iPerform, Zycus), which includes recommendations for system improvements, driving innovation, user training, and sharing best in class practices, to drive the business forward.

Creates category management strategies for given commodity areas and executes projects that support the category strategy. Uncover insights from the Category data to Identify new areas of opportunity to drive additional sourcing value,

Liaison with appropriate business partners to ensure that procurement policies and methodologies are understood and utilized. Serve as the lead “relationship manager” to deliver strategic sourcing insights, optimal value and best practices to the business partners.

Measure value delivered to the business by utilizing an approved Savings Calculation Methodology & Savings Tracking System / Tool as well as tracking non quantitative value delivered to the business.
Work closely with P2P Procurement to integrate the Small Business Administration plan and P2P continuous improvement into the sourcing activities.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA and/or Certified Professional in Supply Management (C.P.S.M) Certification highly desired

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Sourcing Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management and contract negotiation is a must. Indirect procurement, especially with complex categories and pharma experience is preferred. Possess an understanding of Government and Industry Regulations
