Job Summary:

The Associate Treasury & Tax performs administration and processing of key treasury and tax activities. The position requires prioritization of workflow, managing projects as requested, and completing time-sensitive and critical tasks. The Associate will respond to and route requests for information both within and outside the department and will be responsible for contacting personnel at all organizational levels to gather information and prepare reports for Finance and Executive Leadership teams. The position will interface directly with tax consultants on an as needed basis to complete tax related documents and provide required information. The analyst will also be responsible in tracking and assisting in management of the daily cash position and preparation and tracking of the cash flow projections. The position requires a high degree of confidentiality and flexibility and the Associate will need to take initiative, be able to work cross-functionally, and be comfortable working with minimal supervision applying independent judgment and discretion as appropriate.

Responsibilities:
  • Treasury - support Mgr., Treasury & Risk Mgmt. in management and reporting of the cash position:
    • Prepare daily cash position report; Assist in preparation of Monthly/Quarterly cash reporting to Tokyo management
    • Assist in long- and short-term cash projections
    • Administer access to the banking system and coordinate reporting with the Banks
  • Tax - Performs tax processing and administration under the direction of the Mgr., Treasury & Risk Mgmt. These tasks include, but are not limited to:
    • Tax payments including federal, state, property and withholding taxes
    • State license review submissions and payments
    • Monitoring proper use of material groups for tax liability calculations
    • Coordination of data and documentation gathering for IRS audits and other tax related projects
    • Tracking tax payments and refunds
    • Coordination of tax activities with tax consultants in partnership with the Tax team
    • Preparation of simple tax schedules as assigned in partnership with tax consultants
  • Special Projects – Support Mgr., Treasury & Risk Mgmt. on special projects related to tax, investment strategy, and cash management. Coordinate data and documentation gathering, creation of project plan, performing additional analysis, and providing necessary reporting to the team and Management.
    • Support other ad-hoc analysis and process improvement projects as necessary.
  • Maintains department standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operating guidelines (OGs), ensuring proper version control and distribution.

Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; A.A. degree or business school degree preferred.
  • With BA Degree 2-4 years related experience, with HS Diploma or equivalent 4-6 years’ experience.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrates professional poise and tact in working with all levels of internal and external contacts. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Detail-oriented work style.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and handle confidential matters.
