Job Summary
This role is responsible for participating in the design, planning and execution of HCP promotional tactics, professional education and non-personal tactics supporting two key products within Daiichi Sankyo Inc.’s Pain Franchise. This includes supporting the on-going launch and initial launch for assigned products.

The candidate will gain experience and be expected to lead a broad array of brand functions that support the Field Sales team, including the tactical execution of both personal and non-personal (digital) HCP promotional materials, brand communications, and provide oversight to Field Sales training content and workshops. This candidate will also be responsible for tactical execution of professional education materials and speaker programs, including speaker presentations, speaker training materials, planning and executing product theaters at key Pain congresses, and maintaining relationships with Key Opinion Leaders.

In addition, this candidate will be expected to lead the day-to-day management of the brands advertising and medical education agencies, attend market research, foster key stakeholder relationships within Marketing, Sales Training and Field Sales, lead internal cross-functional teams, and provide overall budget management for the brands.

Lastly, this candidate will be expected to maintain open and on-going communication with numerous departments within the Commercial organization to stay informed of key work streams supporting the brands and effectively manage or escalate issues as they arise.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the development and implementation of key customer focused strategies for the brands including personal and non-personal tactics, and provide overall agency management for the respective channels of promotion.
  • Support the on-going management of the franchise speakers’ bureau including identification of thought-leaders, overseeing the contracting process and working closely with Sales Leadership on planning and execution.
  • Manage the submission of promotional materials through the Promotional Material Review (PMR) process, as well as professional education activities through the Programs and Grants Committee review process.
  • Participate in the brand planning process and own key sections of the plan; present to senior leadership on occasion. Examples of sections include: HCP strategies, market landscape updates, and KOL engagement strategy and execution.
  • Manage promotional A&P budget for both brands and support the quarterly LE submission process.

Qualifications:
Successful candidates will be able to meet the qualifications below with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Education/Experience:
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in health sciences preferred. MBA or other advance degree is preferred.

Minimum 4 years brand marketing or comparable education/work experience required; 1-2 years pharmaceutical sales, 1-2 years analytical, and 1-2 years cross-functional experience (e.g., managed markets, new product planning, business analytics); or equivalent preferred.

Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills, presentation skills, with an emphasis on collaborating and networking/influence skills. Demonstrated ability to contribute to operational plans.

Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Pain therapeutic knowledge is preferred along with analytical skills.

Ability to travel up to 30% - 35%.
