Job Summary:

This position leads all translational and exploratory clinical development for DS 8201 by identifying opportunities, developing the scientific rationale, aligning on strategy, and executing with partners. This is accomplished while ensuring aligning on the broad brand development strategy.

Responsibilities:
  • Supports preclinical data development by consulting with scientists in Research Labs to deliver non-clinical package necessary to support translation into clinical program.
  • Ensuring design, development, effective implementation and delivery of high quality Phase I, Phase Ib and Phase 2 clinical protocols and programs, identification of appropriate clinical sites, and oversight over study and program conduct, data management, statistical analysis and report preparation.
  • Functions as key interface between biomarker research function responsible for the development of critical assays that are utilized in clinical trials
  • Collaborate to the development of all companion diagnostics including identification of CD and collaboration with partner on all elements of CD development up to and including filing
  • Functions as clinical development liaison between the company and key external experts and/or leading academic specialists or organizations, as well as between the development organization and translational and Dx collaborations, either internal or external to the Company.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will be able to meet the qualifications below with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Education/Experience:
  • PharmD and/or PhD; M.D. with substantial industry-based development experience in Oncology, Board certified oncology. An impeccable oncology clinical and medical expert with proven credibility and a track record of successful drug development.
  • PharmD/PhD with 7 years relevant industry experience. MD with 3+ years relevant experience.
