Job Summary:
Individual is fully accountable for the development, integration, and execution of all strategic planning and commercialization efforts for the product globally. Critical responsibilities include development and execution of all pre-launch and launch activities, counter-competitive strategic development, thought leader engagement, budget management, forecasting as well as coordinating commercialization activities with regional teams globally.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure development, senior management approval and implementation of all launch brand development strategies and tactics including competitive framework assessment, market research, preliminary brand strategy (buying process, segmentation, brand character/book, positioning, target audience messaging, pre-launch communication and public relations initiatives) for the product.
  • Help develop and coordinate life cycle planning including all related financial forecasting requirements and thought leader engagement activities to drive continued differentiation and value optimization of the product.
  • Take a leadership role in the development and execution of the global brand plan for the product to address key strategic brand issues toward commercial optimization.
  • Support global commercial brand strategy team for the product by facilitating timely resolution of business issues.
  • Ensure commercial direction for the product is provided to cross-functional teams including but not limited to product clinical development team(s), HEOR, PRA, medical affairs, manufacturing and PR. This should be proactive and facilitate the timely resolution of business-critical issues.
  • Provide formal and informal leadership across extended regional and HQ team members.
  • Ensure all strategies, tactics, and activities related to the commercialization of the product are compliant with DS policies.
Qualifications

Education/Experience:
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, emphasis in health sciences is preferred; MBA or advanced scientific degree is preferred.

7+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech commercial industry experience required including established competency in marketing; 2+ years pharmaceutical marketing in the US or EU market required.

Oncology therapeutic area experience, particularly breast cancer experience, strongly preferred. Familiarity with global and key regional oncology commercial markets and environments preferred.

International business experiences such as responsibility as a Global Team member and/or worked in multiple regions is strongly preferred.

Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills, presentation skills, networking, collaboration, negotiation and influencing skills.

Proven ability to think strategically and creatively in addition to executing tactical plans on-time and on-budget.

Strong ability in translating market information into actionable insights.

Solid problem solving, analytical, forecasting and decision-making skills.

Ability to develop effective partnerships with opinion leaders, external agencies, vendors and clinical development teams towards developing and executing lifecycle management and marketing launch plans.

Proven skills in market and competitive analysis as well as project planning and management.

Compliance acumen; demonstrated understanding of the legal and regulatory environment.

Ability to travel up to 25%
